Why the Interest in Fashion?
FASHION IS MY PASSION This could be a long story but I think I will start with how I learned to sew in the fourth grade. Learning this skill gave me such a love for fashion and design. We would have to pick out a pattern and see it in our minds eye already made into an outfit. You would have to imagine it made with the fabrics you had available to you. The fabric that was on the pattern’s front cover would most often not be available to you. Besides what would be the fun of that? Enjoyment came from creating your own design. Making it your very own. No one else would have one just like you. We learned to sew in 4H. It was a project that we would show off and be judged in a fashion show. This show would take place in the Agriculture Extension Building in Calhoun County. It holds great memories for me. We would choose our whole Outfit/Style/Look such as shoes and accessories to go with whatever outfit we sewed. Back then we all wore dresses. So that
